Day by Day Program
Day 1 – Arrival in Athens
Upon arrival at Athens International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. If time permits depending on your arrival time to Athens, you may enjoy one of our optional tours. (Cape Sounion or Athens By Night Tour with Traditional Greek show). Overnight stay in Athens.
Day 2 – Athens
After breakfast at hotel, pick up for our Athens Sightseeing Tour. Our Athens Half Day Tour begins with a panoramic drive around Syntagma square, passing by many sightseeing hot spots such as National Garden, Hadrian’s Arch, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Catholic Cathedral and Schliemann’s House. We will then drive past the Athens Trilogy which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Our licensed guide will make you feel as if you are experiencing firsthand Athens’s old and new history as you look at these stately buildings. We continue for a photo stop at Panathenaic Stadium, otherwise known as Kallimarmaro Stadium, where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. As we proceed, we pass by Zappeion and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Last but not least, we make our way to the archaeological site of Acropolis, an UNESCO’S world heritage monument and we visit Propylae, as well as the small Temple of Athena Nike. Of course, our visit shall not be completed without the Parthenon and Erechtheion. The expert guided Athens sightseeing and museum tour continues with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the New Acropolis Museum. With this Athens half day tour you will enjoy one of the top UNESCO’S world heritage monuments. At the end of our tour, return back to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Athens.
Day 3 – Athens & Lesvos (Mytilene)
Early breakfast and departure transfer to Athens Airport for your domestic flight to Lesvos island. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Mytilene (Lesvos).

Day 4 – Lesvos (Mytilene – Mantamados – Skala Sykamias – Molyvos)
After breakfast, meet with your local English-speaking guide, marking the beginning of your full-day adventure.
Lesvos, acclaimed as the birthplace of many poets and writers from ancient times to modern-day, continues to captivate with its rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and the laid-back lifestyle shown by its friendly inhabitants. The island is particularly famous for its local traditional products, with Ouzo being a standout, revered as one of its original sources.
Your journey will start with a visit to the magnificent Castle of Mytilene, one of the largest castles in the Mediterranean, covering an impressive 60 acres. This fortress was initially constructed during the Byzantine period atop the ancient Acropolis. Significant renovations occurred under the Genoan Gateluzzi family around 1373, followed by further modifications through various rulers, including the Ottomans, until Lesvos joined the Greek state in 1912.
After exploring the castle, your next stop will be the Archaeological Museum, followed by a visit to the Monastery in Mantamados, renowned for its miraculous legend involving Archangel Michael. Nestled in the lush hills of northeastern Lesvos, Mantamados is a charming village renowned for its traditional pottery, rich culinary heritage, and the revered Monastery of Taxiarchis, home to a miraculous icon of Archangel Michael. Visitors can wander its picturesque alleys, sample local dairy delicacies like yogurt and cheese, and take home handcrafted ceramics as timeless souvenirs.
After your visit to Mantamados, transfer to the picturesque fishing village of Skala Sykamias for a traditional seafood lunch (optional).
After lunch, you will travel to the famous Molyvos, a cosmopolitan hotspot that enchants visitors with its stunning cobbled streets and unique architecture. A guided tour will allow you to explore the town’s castle and beautiful beaches while enjoying some free time to soak up the captivating atmosphere. The day will conclude with a delightful dinner (optional) at the port of Molyvos before you return to your accommodation for a restful overnight stay on Lesvos Island.

Day 5 – Lesvos (Molyvos – Sigri (Petrified Forest) – Eressos – Moria (Aqueduct) – Mytilene town)
After lunch in Eressos, the tour will continue to the Roman Aqueducts, one of Lesvos’s most impressive monuments. The best-preserved section spans 170 meters and features seventeen arches, located in Moria, about 6 km north of Mytilini. Known as “Kamares,” this aqueduct facilitated water transport from the springs of Olympos Mountain to Mytilini, covering approximately 26 km.
Next, you’ll head to the main port of Lesvos, Mytilene, where you’ll enjoy dinner (optional) at a local restaurant.
Upon your arrival at the bustling port, Mytilene will captivate you with its vibrant atmosphere and blend of historical charm. As the island’s capital, built on seven hills and crowned by the Gateluzzi fortress, it has retained significant elements of its rich heritage and cultural history. This lively town is renowned for its nightlife and offers a diverse array of hotels, restaurants, and recreational venues. Highlights include the impressive Gateluzzi castle, the church of Agios Therapon with its striking dome, and the Statue of Liberty at the edge of the port. You will spend the night in Mytilene, enchanted by its delightful ambiance.

Day 6 – Lesvos Lesvos (Plomari Town – Agiassos Village & Return to Mytilene town)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your local English-speaking guide in the hotel lobby to start your tour to the southern part of the island. Your first destination will be the Vrana Olive Oil Museum, an impressive industrial building of unique architectural significance situated in Papados village, within the broader region of Gera. Constructed by Nikolaos Vranas, the grandfather of poet Odysseas Elytis, the museum operated until the early 1970s before closing its doors. Visitors can gain insights into the operations of the historic olive oil press.
Following the museum visit, the tour will proceed to Plomari, one of the island’s most prominent areas. In the mid-19th century, Plomari emerged as the island’s second-largest industrial and commercial hub after Mytilene, benefiting from its coastal position, which facilitated marine transport and trade. You will find yourself surrounded by expansive olive groves that reach into the hilly terrain, cliffs, beautiful beaches, and charming villages characterized by unique architecture and timeless traditions.
Next, you will be guided to one of the island’s most famous OUZO producers, where you will have the opportunity to experience and taste each step of the ouzo distillation process. Ouzo has its roots in tsipouro, a beverage flavored with anise that originated with 14th-century monks on Mount Athos. The modern distillation method using copper stills was established in 1932, with the largest producers located in Plomari. After the distillery tour, you will head to a beachfront restaurant in Plomari for lunch (optional).
After lunch, the tour will continue to the charming village of Agiassos, nestled on the slopes of Mt. Olympos at an altitude of 475 meters, just 27 kilometers from Mytilene. Known for its rich vegetation, traditional architecture, and welcoming residents, Agiassos is recognized as an artistic and religious settlement, boasting a distinctive dialect and a captivating cultural ambiance. The village is famous for its unique carnival, characterized by witty satirical verses performed by local poets in traditional vernacular. Agiassos also hosts various craft workshops that uphold a long-standing tradition of pottery and wood carving.
After your visit to Agiassos, you will return to Mytilene town for dinner (optional) at a local restaurant.

Day 7 – Lesvos & Athens
Enjoy your last few morning hours on Lesvos Island. According to your domestic flight to Athens, transfer to Mytilene airport.
Upon arrival at Athens airport, transfer to hotel in Athens City Center.

Day 8 – Departure from Athens
Breakfast at the hotel, morning at leisure for your last minute shopping or strolling down the streets of Athens. Depending on your international departure flight, transfer to Athens International Airport.
