Tour Description
Walk in the Footsteps of St. Paul
Discover one of the most powerful and influential cities of the ancient world with this half-day guided tour to Ancient Corinth, a destination rich in both historical and biblical significance.
We depart Athens and travel southwest along the scenic coastal road, making our first stop at the famous Corinth Canal—a remarkable feat of 19th-century engineering that connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea. Enjoy time for photos and admire this narrow yet dramatic waterway that separates the Peloponnese from mainland Greece.
We then continue to the ancient city of Corinth, once a thriving center of trade, wealth, and culture in antiquity. Here, St. Paul lived and preached for nearly two years, and the city is closely associated with his missionary journeys. As we explore the archaeological site, you’ll see impressive ruins such as the Temple of Apollo, dating back to the 6th century B.C., and the Agora, which served as the city’s bustling marketplace.
Our journey also includes a visit to the ancient port of Cenchreae, where St. Paul is believed to have arrived and departed during his time in Greece. This final stop adds a meaningful touch to a tour that blends archaeology, history, and spiritual heritage.
After an enriching exploration of Corinth’s storied past, we return to Athens by midday—just in time for lunch.
